The second BIG film of both Farhan and 2009 , Luck By Chance , is out now and the film stars a lot of big names of bollywood in special appearances apart from Farhan and company . The film also has some good actors like Konkana Sen Sharma , Rishi Kapoor , Juhi Chawla , Saurabh Shukla and Dimple Kapadia . The film has been directed by the debutant director Zoya Akhtar . She has also decided to start with Direction and I hope she has no plans to shift to acting just like her brother has . As soon as the promos of the film were on air , expectations started to rise and people were expecting a good film in the beginning the of the year after the disappointing 2008 . CC2C has already dampened the spirits to an extent and I decided to watch this one for a change .
The film has been publicised as a Film on Film Industry and no film except OSO has worked which was based on Film Industry . Luck By Chance , according to me is more of a Love Story that has Bollywood as the set-up . The film's story is nothing but a little bit of Raju Ban Gaya Gentlemen and a little of Fashion and a little of some other films . Nothing so new about it that we don't know . People know about the compromises and sacrifices that one has to make to land up a career in the glamour world . When I saw the film's promos I was expecting to see the struggle of the lead character and quite opposite to it I got to see him getting too lucky too soon without much of a Hard work . It stresses more on his love and relationships angle rather than his journey towards stardom .
It is a slow film from the word go and on top of it, it is a full length feature film of close to three hours . The slow pace makes it pretty unbearable for an average cinema goer who expects some entertainment at a fine pace . The film is very much on the slower side and what could have been a good film of two hours has been made into a longer slower one . I am sad to say this but people started walking off without even watching the end of the film in the theater . The reason being the length and slow pace of the film . The story was also pretty much predictable and nothing in it to hold the audience for such a long span . The same was the case with Khoya Khoya Chand but it was expected from that film since it had a backdrop of the sixties . It was also a visually much more interesting film and had some really nice music .
The so many guest appearances also couldn't help film and were just like a small pills of excitement . The guest appearances barring that of SRK were all dull and felt quite out of the place . It almost felt like they were forced in to make the film a little popular . The people who did guest appearances in OSO would have been happy after watching the film and I am sure the same won't be the case with this film . I don't know , I felt like Zoya was pretty confused while making the film or maybe pretty much influenced under the Director brother and Writer father . The dialogues by Jaaved sir were also no good and the film in any case lacked the entertainment quotient . The film has a very Serious tone and lacks humour and maybe this is what will hit the film most apart from its length .
Zoya didn't use actors like that of Saurabh , Juhi and Rishi to their max . They had very small roles and that too were not that entertaining . Comparing this film to Jaane Tu which also had several such actors and Abbas in that film very well used all of his cast members . The script by Zoya herself was very weak and didn't had enough to hold the film . I don't want to be too harsh on the film but honestly speaking it was a boring film for most of its length .
The story revolves around Vikram Jaisingh and Sona Mishra who are both talented and hard working but it is because of their destiny that they land up in different places . Konkana goes the hard way and Farhan goes the smart way . The film revolves around the successes and failures of the lead couple and their love story . The story as I said earlier was very much predictable and had nothing that excited me . The script of the film also doesn't justify its name and has hardly underlined the luck factor that much .
The music was good but again not used to its maximum and in any case both Konkana and Farhan don't have that magnetic personalities to hold the songs on the screen . Though Farhan does a good job acting but as always he has very limited to offer and if script is not good he cannot take matters in his own hands . He is not a superstar material and he should not opt for acting as a full time job . He is a fabulous Director and I don't get it why doesn't he stick to that . Konkana is a good actress and she performs as expected . The only surprise was Isha Sharvani who looked quite glamorous and did her part well . She made her presence felt and was part of some entertaining scenes . Hrithik did his part well and his song has been well used for the publicity . Aamir's guest appearance was the worst of them all .
The technical aspects like cinematography and art direction were good . Zoya's script and Direction both were pretty average and were not exciting at all . She should wait for a stronger script for her next attempt . Overall , I was pretty disappointed with the film as I had a lot of expectations from both , the film and zoya . I hope it makes enough on the box office so that it doesn't lose much .
Film Rating : Two and Half Stars out of Five ; a slow and pretty much predictable film .

Ghajini --- Movie Review
Ghajini is exactly what I was expecting and probably even better and before you jump to any conclusions let me tell you that I was expecting Ghajini to be Masala film with lack of logic and some mindless action . And this is what I got , a big disappointment . I was still hoping against the hope that may be there would be just mindless action and still it would have an intelligent story but as it turned out it just had mindless and logic less action with a story that had been borrowed from west and some Indian Masala added to it . Do you remember those old action films of Amitabh and others of that era that had that typical Revenge (Badla) plot with hero running after the villain and in the end beating 50 odd people on his own and taking his revenge . Well , Ghajini is exactly that kind of formula cinema .
What has struck me even more is the fact that Critics like Rajeev Masand (IBN) and Mayank Shekhar (Mumbai Mirror and TOI) have rated it much higher than Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi . Most of the critics argued while reviewing RNBDJ that they found it hard to believe that Anushka doesn't identify his husband just because he shaves off his moustache . And those critics probably left their brains at home while watching Ghajini which from start to end has a long list of logical flaws in it which don't make sense at all . Those critics didn't even keep in mind that at least RNBDJ had an original plot and not an inspired one whereas Ghajini has many similarities with Memento . I mean how biased are these critics , leave aside Taran Adarsh (of IndiaFM) who thinks Ghajini deserves 4.5 stars out of Five . Mind You , he has given Taare Zameen Par 4/5 and Chak De India a mind boggling 2 out of 5 .
Leaving the critics aside , I thought that Indian films and audience were finally getting more intelligent and liked only those films that were a little different and didn't have that formula feel to it . But I was maybe wrong because the films that worked in 2008 like Race , Singh is Kinng , Golmaal Returns etc. are all masala entertainers having all those emotions with very less emphasis on story . Though Ghajini has been marketed as an Action film but let make it very clear that it is a Masala film with a little more of Action .
Frankly speaking , Ghajini is not even worth comparing to Memento . If Memento was a brilliant film then there is no shade of brilliance in Ghajini . Any young upcoming Director from south could have made this film who has grown up watching films of Rajnikanth in which he is always a superhero with no superpowers and yet he beats a group of people to bring justice . The only similarity is the basic theme of the protagonist and rest all is Indian Masala that too with a lot of inspiration from South Commercial cinema .
The film in the first place jumps from Romantic angle to Intense angle almost suddenly many times leaving a mixed feeling . The worst that suffered from this was the Romantic super hit song Guzarish . The song almost starts instantly after an intense situation where audience is in a thinking mode . There is no Romantic build-up before the song and hence the only good song in the film also got a little wasted . Leave aside the other songs which were more of item numbers with no link to the film . Can you believe Jia Khan does an Item No. sort of song (Lattu) at a College Function in very glamorous costume which by the way is a Medical College . Jia becomes a detective from a doctor and all of sudden starts investigating Aamir's case . How real is that ? Well , I can mention several such loop holes in the film but I don't want to , you can see them yourselves . When I heard Kaise mujhe on the album I thought it would be in more of a sad situation but Aamir is all happy when this song is there . The song didn't go along with his mood but the Lyrics did .
Asin is a pleasant surprise and acts quite well and has good comic presence . Though she acted well but I felt that she was just overdoing in some of the scenes which is quite a turn off . She can act but the Director would have to make sure that she doesn't start over-acting . Her role was adorable but not so much believable . In any case the whole film is a bit over the top so you won't mind Asin's acting also . She was cute but didn't make such a good pair with Aamir and the chemistry was a little less . Jia doesn't have much of a role and hence was kept out of the publicity .
One more thing that makes it a typical Formula film is the length of the film which is just about 3 hrs and the pace with which it moves is also of the 80's and 90's . The hammering background score makes sure that no one gets asleep while watching the film . In some parts the score is good but for most of the parts it is a bit over the top . There is also a vague Character of a Police officer who serves nothing in the film or story apart from adding a little bit of action .
The only one positive was the Cinematography which was great and Ravi K. Chandran needs to be applauded for that . The director A.R. Murugadoss also does an average job and he at least made sure that film doesn't become unbearable and kept it a little entertaining . The art direction didn't impress me that much but was still not that bad . I hope Murugadoss comes up with a little less commercial film and more of an original one , the next time .
At last coming to Aamir Khan who according to several critics acted quite well and it is completely his film . Well , there is no doubt that it is completely Amir's film but the acting part isn't that good . I am also an Aamir fan and I've seen him act at least Ten times better than what he did in Ghajini . Such roles first of all don't suit him and I hope he never selects such a character in the future . I am sure nobody would remember Aamir in Ghajini in the future . They might remember Ghajini because of Aamir's 8 packs though . Aamir can do so much better than what he did in this film . Shouting and Killing like an animal doesn't suit him that much if you ask me and for that matter it wont suit any actor of today .
There is no doubt that Ghajini would be blockbuster and you can also watch it to see Aamir in a masala film for a change . But I just hope that with the success of films like Ghajini , Golmaal Returns and Singh is Kinng the producers don't get encouraged to make such cinema more often because it took almost three decades to come up till hear for the industry and I hope it doesn't push itself back to its roots . If this trend continues then we would get to see Superstars getting together and pulling off a blockbuster for a similar story every time .
Movie Rating : Two and a Half out of Five Stars ; Aamir in a Masala film to its core is one thing that I don't want to watch .

Ghajini --- Music Review
The last one out of the five albums of ARR this year , Ghajini, is out now and the stakes are even higher since it is one of the most anticipated film of the year starring Mr. Perfectionist Aamir himself . The last album Yuvvraaj of ARR didn't impress me that much and neither did the film impress the audience . This one is an adaptation of South film by the same name hence there would be southern influences not only in the film but also in the music . Last time ARR worked for a Hindi album with a southern director except Mani Ratnam was in Nayak when he worked with Shankar who directed the film . And clearly in some of the songs we could observe the southern influence .

Ghajini --- Teaser Trailer Review
The first teaser trailer of Aamir starrer much hyped Ghajini is out now on the Internet . The film has always been in news because of various reasons and has created some amount of Hype around it already . But , this trailer might slow down the hype to an extent. The trailer for me first of all was very "Thunda" and nothing except the music of it left me wanting for more .The first trailer of a supposedly Psychological Action Thriller shows the lead actor Dancing in some exotic locations of probably Namibia . The lead actor flaunting his six packs and the lead girl Shriya smiling her way into his heart in a fantasy land . If we leave the dancing part then there is very much less left in the trailer and that part also is very weak . We only get to see Aamir Khan throwing a punch at a person which is a typical South Indian film Punch that usually Rajnikanth throws in his flicks .
For all the guys that don't know this film is a remake of a south-Indian flick of the same name which in turn was majorly inspired by the Hollywood Psycho-Thriller "Memento" directed by Brilliant Director Christopher Nolan . You all might have seen The Dark Knight which is also directed by Nolan so you know his Brilliance . "Memento" is a very unusual film and if made in an exact manner as it is , would never work among Indian audience . It has a very non-linear Narrative style and something quite complicated for our audience that loves David Dhawan type of cinema . The story of memento is as such that there can't be any song sequence anywhere . It is an intense film with no light moments . I don't know how would the Director Murugadoss manage to break into a random song sequence in such an intense story .
I've not seen the Tamil version so can't comment on the film but I just hope that it does not turn out to be a south Indian commercial film with defiance of all logic . From the looks of the trailer it looks like the film would be more commercial in nature and would work amongst commercial cinema loving audience . The only thing that I loved about the trailer was the fantastic music by ARR and the humming by Sonu Nigam . I always expect something like Lagaan or TZP from Aamir , off beat yet entertaining . I hated Fanaa though it was a huge commercial success . Its just that I don't like to see Aamir in commercial cinema . One thing that goes against Ghajini is the fact that none of the Directors form South apart from Mani Ratnam have succeeded in Hindi film Industry . Ghajini won't have much of future in South also since they have already seen the film with their favourite actor .
In all , the trailer didn't work for me as I was expecting it to be something unusual . This turned out to be like thousands of trailers in the past and probably even worse . This trailer I am sure would be loved by Die-Hard Aamir fans since he is in a completely new look and also doing some good moves in the trailer . A very so so first trailer of a very much anticipated film of the year . I have huge expectations from this film considering the bad year this has been for films and I just hope Ghajini doesn't turn out to be a Rajni .

First Look --- Kidnap and 3 Idiots

The first look of two films , Kidnap and 3 Idiots , are out now . One being the next of Aamir Khan after Ghazni and other being the next of his cousin Imran . Lets talk about the Aamir one first .
The Teaser poster of Aamir's next venture as an actor , 3 Idiots , is out now and its one of those posters that say a lot about the film and create an interest beforehand . The film as everyone knows is based on the Famous novel "Five Point Someone" which is based on a group of students from IIT and their misadventures of their college lives . The film is to be Directed by Rajkumar Hirani who will be directing something different from Munnabhai for the first time . This film would be a real test for him as a Director . The Producer is the same , Vidhu Vinod chopra who has produced both of Hirani's film . The film also starrs R. Madhvan and Sharman Joshi as supporting cast and will also have Kareena as the main female lead .
Now talking a little about the poster which has shown Aamir pressing against a blackboard which has Problems of Calculus written all over it . Amir is having his cropped hair cut and I don't know how would he be able to play a role of Boy who is half the age of what he is right now . We know thatAmir is a a great actor and can almost play any role with utmost perfection but I don't understand till when he and his contemporaries are going to play such roles . The Directors need to find some new talent now and they need to take risks . Anyways , as I said the poster says a lot about the film especially the tag line which goes like this " chose excellence - success will follow" . The poster reminds me of Good Will Hunting and A Beautiful Mind where two geniuses keep solving their calculations with anything that they find .
We know that this film would be adaptation of a famous novel that has been read by a huge block of people so it would be interesting to see for the first time in Indian film industry , people responding to an onscreen adaptation of a Famous book . Though Devdas has also been adapted many times and several such other stories but those stories had been read only by a few selected people and not by a people at large . This would be probably the first such experience when people will react to a film based on a book . This film and book might also lead to a new fashion of Adapted Screenplays and for sure create two new categories in all the league of Awards - "Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Original Screenplay " . The award guys will get too happy since they like to distribute more and more awards and please everyone in the Industry . So even if Hirani doesn't gets best film he can at least get "Best Adapted Screenplay" and be happy .
Well , I still hope that Hirani gets the best film award and the film turns out to be as good as the novel is .
Now Talking a little about the next release of Imran Khan , Kidnap , whose trailer is running in the cinema halls along with Singh is Kinng . This is the second film of Imran whose first film has proven to be biggest hit of 2008 up till now (Singh is Kinng might overtake it ) . In Jaane Tu... Imran Played a role that was meant for him and he had just needed to be natural whereas his acting skills will be tested in this film where he plays a not so good guy and his role has a negative side to it .
The film is Directed by Dhoom Fame Sanjay Gadhvi and it also starrs Sanjay Dutt and Minissha Lamba . This film would be Gadhvi's first film which is not produced by Yashraj . In this one Sanjay plays a role of the Richest Indian in the World and what happens when his Daughter gets Kidnapped by a guy played by Imran .
Talking a little about the teaser trailer , it starts with Sanjay (Vikrant Raina) being introduced and his net worth is shown which is in Billions . Then Imran is shown in a completely different look than what he had in Jaane Tu.. , making the Kidnaper's Call to Sanjay .He Kidnaps Sanjay's Daughter played by Minissha . Then starts a series of scenes which show that Sanjay instead of Paying the ransom decides to chase Imran down and catch him . The film looks like a good thriller from the scenes that have been shown in the Trailer and the background score used in Trailer is also good .Sanjay looks more like a Dude and the title of "Richest Indian in the World" doesn't go with his personality . For such a role a Corporate personality is needed , someone like Rajat Kapoor might have looked better .
Anyways , the trailer looks good and the film looks a little inspired from Mel Gibson starrer 1996 hit Ransom . That one was Directed by Ron Howard (Director - Da Vinci Code) and he is an intelligent man and he made a nice pacy thriller . This one , I am sure has many Indian elements in it with a probable love angle between Minissha and Imran . I hope that Both Sanjay Gadhvi and Imran prove themselves apart from their Debut attempts . Imran has done a great thing by signing this film and would prevent him from getting trapped in a Chocolate Boy image . But this might even prove a big risk if he is not able to play the role properly .
The film is all set to release on October 2 which is roughly one and half months from now . It would be interesting to see audience reaction to Imran especially after Jaane Tu .. which is still running in some of the Cinema Halls . Check out the Trailer :

Jaane Tu ...Ya Jaane Na --- Film Review
The first film from Aamir Khan productions in which aamir khan is not acting has released and the film has created a lot of buzz around it since it Starr's the new Khan on the block , Imran , who as everybody knows is the nephew of Aamir Khan . So is the new Khan as talented as the other three ? The answer is - Yes , to an extent . Before I talk of him lets talk a little about the film . Jaane Tu is directed by Abbas Tyrewala who has written screenplay of Brilliant Films like Maqbool and has given dialogues like "Maamu" for Munnabhai M.B.B.S. . The Films to his credit of writing either screenplay , story or Dialogues are wide range of film like Shikhar,Asoka,Darna Mana Hai,Salaam Namaste , Welcome etc. Now such a brilliant guy who has written so much earlier writes this typical Youth oriented Love Story for launching himself as Director .
One thing that came to my mind while watching the film is that Jaane Tu ... is a wisely made film . Why I say so ? because it has all the elements any young love story has to have . I'll start off by saying one line which has been used and abused by several writers and filmmakers all around the world . That line is "Hum Sirf Dost Hai" or "We're Just Friends " . Now this line has been used a Zillion times all around the world and around a million stories are based on that same line .
In India films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Hum Tum etc. have already shown friendships turning into love and proving the fact that Men and Women can't be just friends , which itself is a very debatable line . This concept is used at regular intervals and probably would be used in future also .All movies made on this concept have worked well and some worked really well . So Abbas also uses it adding another dozen of concepts from different Love Stories into this . So throughout the film there is no part that surprises you and you never feel that wow ! this is something new.
The film starts off with a group of friends telling the entire story of film to a third person about the lead couple . This concept has been already used in Chalte Chalte which was Aziz's last film that did quite good . Then the entire film is in flashback while the story is told to that third person . The group of friends consist of exactly six friends , three boys and three girls . All the members of the group apart from the lead couple are typical weird characters so that audience is able to Identify those characters as one of their real life friends and imagine themselves as the lead actor or the actress . Any youth film works only and only if the youth Identifies itself with the character . And Abbas has succeeded here since he has created copy book characters which always exist . Nothing exceptional and new about them .
The story is the same old one . The guy and girl are great friends , always hang-out together but don't realise that they are in Love . The people around them say to them that they are perfect for each other and they keep finding others .Then , when they do find someone the jealousy comes in way and slowly after breaking a few innocent hearts they come and express their love for each other . That's it , no twists and turns , as simple as that . And where does it end ? make a guess. Yes , at an Airport where the hero fights the Airport authority and runs away from them to confess his love for the girl who is leaving for America and he reaches just in time . This ending should be banned and I am tired of seeing the Airport authorities just giving a smile when they hear that the couple are in true love and they do nothing and don't even say a word .
The above paragraph is used in several films and even T.V. serials and just the premise of the story changes and just the characters are little different . So if the film has such a simple old story then why does it work ? The biggest reason that I can think of is the pack of brilliant actors that were the supporting cast in the film . They make the film carry on and make it bearable .The pack includes great actors like Ratna Pathak , Naseruddin Shah , Paresh Rawal , Jayant Kriplani , Rajat Kapoor , Kittu Gidwani etc. These actors have quite small roles but they are so good at it that they are the ones at the end of the film that you would remember for long . Ratna Pathak is a great actor but she has acted very less , I don't know why . She should act more . Naseer is as usual best at whatever he does . He is the most funny character in the film .
As I said that the story is the same old one just premise has changed and if the premise would include such great actors then the film has to work . The film in my opinion would have got bad feedback if these actor's would not have been there . Rajat Kapoor who is one of my favourites is just brilliant . A very small role yet he delivers it in the best possible way . I don't know how he keeps himself from the temptation of becoming a full time actor since he is so good at it . He keeps doing these cameos even though he has the caliber of doing a lead .
One more thing that I liked in the film was cinematography which is by Manoj Lobo who has done a terrific job and shown Mumbai quite beautifully and in a different way . The Music is good but definitely not the best . Just enough to keep the movie going . The direction was good but the screenplay was a little loose and the movie seemed a little slow . The film could have been made a little smaller . The guest appearances by Arbaaz and Sohail are just hilarious and quite good . They do their job very well .
Now talking a little about the lead couple . The main protagonist of the film Jay Singh Chauhan which is played by Imran is a very simple character to play . Even simpler for Imran since it was exactly according to his image and age . He goes about it as naturally as possible which is a quite tough thing to do and he does it well . The girl Genelia is not new and she has a little experience in acting . She has a fabulous smile and has a charm . She has acted well and I hope her future is better . Playing a role like this is quite easy but the problem is that it establishes an image of you on the minds of audience which lasts for ever . We get to see a very small range of acting in Jaane Tu by Imran so I can't say anything about his future . I can just say that whatever he did in this movie was good but not in the league of the greats . Last year one movie came called Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar or MP3 which did well among the youngsters but now we can't even see the lead pair anywhere . The reason being that it was also a copybook love story and there was nothing new about it . That movie didn't have the brilliant actors like this one has so it didn't work that much . I hope Imran does better than Ruslan and Genelia does better than Hazel .
Overall , the movie is a typical young love story and would be liked by youth at large . The love story has nothing iconic so people are going forget it after sometime . The Direction is good and Abbas has established himself more as a commercial Director rather than an experimental one . Lets hope he comes up with a better and different story next time .
Movie Rating : Two and a Half stars out of Five , Good for only onetime watch .

War of the Words

First things first , I am too small a person to comment on the greats like Amitabh Bachchan , Aamir Khan and SRK , but still as a writer and a blogger I write what I feel in my heart so please excuse me if you do not agree with my opinions .
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know what is with both Amitabh Sir and Aamir who are nowadays more in the news for statements that they make on SRK rather than their work . Considering both have no media attention these days they have found the next gen
media i.e. the Internet quite useful to convey unnecessary stuff to the people . While Amitabh Sir is Showing Graphs of his popularity compared with that of SRK on his blog , Aamir is busy telling the story of a dog whose name only has got his blog over 5000 comments so far and don't how many millions of hits .
Now what is the necessity of doing this by the league of greats ? If Aamir does it , then also its OK but if a great personality like Amitabh Bachchan is also doing it then it is just shameful . It seems to me that Amitabh Bachchan can't digest the fact that SRK's popularity is increasing day by day and his days are passing by . These acts of Amitabh sir is only going to leave a black spot on his glorious career of past few decades . Now , even I think that he should retire with Dignity , which doesn't mean he should stop working .
Interpersonal Relationships with your colleagues is a major part of any Professional person's success and that applies even to an Actor . Everybody knows that after the Big marriage of Abhishek and Aishwarya , the bachchan family has suffered a huge blow in that department . Ash as everybody knows is not that popular with her colleagues and now even Amitabh sir is not . Both Big B an
d Ash have had their share of success so now it doesn't matter to them if they have good or bad relations with others . But the biggest sufferer in this case is Abhishek who has not much of career and if he would not keep a healthy rapport with his colleagues I am afraid his career won't be even as good as his spouse . I couldn't spot any member of the Bachchan family at any of the award functions which are more of a big way to socialize among the friends in Bollywood . Seriously , Award ceremonies in Bollywood are just like a big party thrown by the organisers and every major person gets a small trophy as a return gift . If he/she is not nominated then he/she receives a special award so that they don't go back home unhappy . And if Amitabh Bachchan is going to talk rubbish of SRK who is quite powerful in Industry won't help any bit for Abhishek's carrier .
Coming to Aamir Khan , who was always considered media shy has suddenly turned into this candid person who shares irrelevant things on his Blog . Aamir has built up his own image of not working too much but just doing the quality work and keeping a low profile and a Dignified Silence . But from past few months he has all of a sudden decided to work more and even talk more . SRK as we all know works really hard and has made his presence felt in every sphere of life and his popularity charts are growing everyday beacuse he is considered as an Icon by the youth of today which believes in working hard and dreaming the impossible . This is what probably not going down well with Aamir probably who always thought that youth idealizes him . Earlier it was considered that Aamir speaks with his work but now its the words that come out of his mouth saying a lot about him . As they say , Chose your words Wisely before speaking and may be Aamir who has always kept a silence doesn't know how to do it . First he got into the whole no. one thing and now into his caretaker's dog name .
One can't change his/her image overnight and if Aamir and Amitabh have made an image of themselves in the public then they should try to maintain it rather than outdoing themselves and doing something that they have never done in their life . If today SRK would have made such a statement like that of Aamir (which I don't think he wold have made beacuse he is quite responsible when it comes to his sense of humour ) then SRK would have also got the same response from public because humour has a limit when it is made in public . SRK is cheasy but he doesn't offend the feelings of general people whereas Aamir has pressed the nerves of all SRK fans which I think are way more in number . He has probably lost a control on his brain along with his hair .
Anyways I just think that responsible people like Amitabh Sir and Aamir are wise enough to understand the value and effects of their words and learn to use them more carefully in future . One line from Spiderman for all of you ---- "With great power comes great responsibility " .

Taare Zameen Par --- Movie Review
There are some films that while watching you forget that you are watching a film and start feeling that what you are watching is something that was always at the back of your mind and it is just been taken out from there . Taare Zameen Par is one such film . Aamir Khan is known to be among the brightest man in the industry but what came out was an another Aamir khan that dreams and feels those dreams very passionately . Direction has brought out a piece of Aamir who has always been media shy . He kept on saying in the interviews that he felt for the story and hence decided to direct it , and after watching TZP I feel that he was damn serious about it .
Talking of the film , its an experience and you need to watch it for yourself to feel it . The movie is not at all for kids though it revolves around kids . It is more for the parents who groom kids and also for a little mature kids who can understand and feel what is shown . The best thing about TZP is that it is shown through the eyes of a kid . It very clearly puts across the fact that how creative the children are when they are young . They see things and think about it with a free mind , without any constrains . But today , parents are putting constrains to that free mind and soul . And it is this thought that whole movie brings out .
The film starts in a very unique and creative way . The title credits are itself a creative master-piece . All credit to Pankaj Khandpur of Tata - ELXSI & his team who worked on all the graphics and visual effects of the film . The special effects added to the creativity of film .
The film revolves around a child of third standard - Ishan Awasthy , who is very weak in studies and despite of all the punishments he doesn't study .He is very creative and makes beautiful paintings of whatever he sees and feels . He has an elder brother , Yohaan Awasthy who is very bright in studies and always stands first in class . Yohaan is a bright student but he is not very proudy about it and this very trait in his character is what moved me . He supports his brother throughout the movie whenever he is able to do so and doesn't make fun . He acts very maturely according to his age . After being fed up of complaints and failures , the angry father - Vipin Sharma , sends Ishaan to a boarding school so that he learns discipline and starts studying . Ishaan unwilingly gets admitted to the school and gets very sad . There he is constanly beaten by the strict teachers . He makes a very good friend over there who is himself suffering of polio yet he is brightest in his class. Ishaan shows no progress and the same story starts repeating , scolding and beating but no one understands him . Being lonely and sad he stops painting also .
Then comes a new art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir) who has a very different style of teaching . He sets children free and makes them think freely just like Robin William's character in Dead Poet's Society , only difference he deals with small children . His character has no similarity to Robin's except the distinct style of teaching and free thinking philosophy . He comes across Ishaan and gets concerned for him . He does a little bit of research onhim and realizes that he suffers from a disorder called Dislexia (unability of understanding alphabets and characters ) . He then undertakes Ishaan and grooms him and makes him get over his problems . He also teaches his parents a lesson or two and makes them think like him . Then slowly - slowly everything changes and Ishaan's love for painting gets recognised by evryone and applauded . The movie ends with the end of term and Ishaan showing remarkable iprovments in his Progress Report . His painting also gets published on cover page of school Year-book .
The acting by all actors is just top notch with Darsheel Safary (Ishaan) being the best . He has acted just like a child should and brought out the emotions perfectly . He deserves an award . Aamir is as usual perfect and all the other cast is also brilliant . Tisca (Ishaan's Mom) is beautiful and graceful .
The music is very good and melodious with the song "Maa" that can move any damn soul that exists on this face of earth . The music is very simple and sweet and melodious matching the movie's feel . Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Lyricist Prasoon Joshi do a great job .
There are many-many small moments in the entire film that will not only make you emotional but teach you a thing or two . It is these moments that make it so special and watchable . I am so glad that year has ended with such a excellent piece of cinema . I am more happy for Aamir who has delivered more than what was expected from him .
Movie Rating : Four Stars , for fantastic acting by Darsheel & excellent direction . If you want to end your year on a right note , go and watch it . Take your kid along .
Aamir if you read this then I would like to tell you that when I was watching this movie , there was a young couple sitting next to me who had a very small baby . I heard the wife say -" We will buy a DVD and keep watching the movie so that it reminds us that how we should be to our children ." Do you need anything more ?
One more thing Aamir , the scene where you make the small boy who works in a restaurant eat and drink from your cup , hit me the most . I don't know how many but there will be at least one preson who would copy that in real life and imagine how happy the kid would get . Great start to an exciting new career . This one surely stands a chance at the Oscar .

Taare Zameen Par -- Trailer Review
The first promo of Taare Zameen Par is out now and to be fair it is quite simple & interesting just as the story of the movie would be . For all of you who don't know TZP is Directed by none other than Actor Aamir Khan himself who also stars in it . From the promo its quite obvious that the movie is about kids who dream a lot and are also creative and imaginative .
India is a country where Largest number of movies are made in entire World and it is also the Youngest Nation of the World yet the number of movies that are Genuinely Made for Kids can be counted on Fingers . On the contrary , in Hollywood some of the finest movies are made for Kids ( leaving apart the Animated ones ) . Aamir has been always known for making brave decisions and I am not surprised he decided to make this one all by himself . In past there have been a number of unsuccessful attempts of kids' movies ( like Raju Chacha ) but still I hope or rather I should say know that this one would not be the same .
Now talking about the trailer it shows some of the cutest kids in it yawning and gazing inquisitively like all kids do . Then there is a kid ( probably the lead ) who is looking at a painting and imagining something and behind him is sitting Aamir who is in same Innocent and surprised mood as the Kid is . The trailer very effectively brings out the Innocence of kids and in my opinion also their creative side . The Teaser Trailer doesn't reveal much about the story and just sends out the basic theme of movie .
I saw the poster very closely and I found a spacecraft drawn by child on which it is written "Ahmed in NASA " . I am not sure about the name though . But from this it looks like the main kid in the movie is interested in Space and probably wants to work in NASA and dreams of becoming an astronaut . This is just a guess not sure though.
The movie is out in the theaters from 21st December and I can't wait to see it .
