DISCLAIMER: I am not at all related to any bollywood stars and I am not conspiring against Akshay Kumar . My views are independent and unadulterated .
This year so far hasn't been so good for films as such and it has been particularly not good for Akshay who has already had two disasters and all his hopes are lying on his next release Kambakkht Ishq . I am personally not a fan of "Nadiadwaala" films (producer Sajid Nadiadwala) and most of their films are big budget crappy commercial cinema for me . Though their films work at box office because of their commercial nature and this is probably why stars don't say no to him . The only decent film coming from Nadiadwala's has been Jaan-e-mann which by the way didn't work on the box office . So one thing is clear that I don't expect much from their films but one thing that has been not so bad about their films is the music . Most films have had commercial yet decent bit of music which were an important factor in their film's success . This album has provided exactly what I was expecting from it , senseless crappy commercial music . Anu Malik who mostly doesn't work these days has been out of form n touch and it is quite evident in this album .
Lets get down to songs , first comes Om Mangalam . This one has been written, composed and performed by RDB , a regulation in all Akshay's films these days . RDB are a good bunch of kids and they do good with music and singing but certainly not with lyrics . They should leave the job of writing for some professionals . In terms of music though this one is amongst the better tracks on the album and would get most popular from the entire lot . I personally didn't like this song because it is mostly copy-paste job i.e. same part has been repeated over and over again in this song . Take a look at the lyrics "Meri Fasne ki nahi Chahat thi , lekin kismat ne mujhe rahat di " ; what the hell does this mean !! Anyways its just a commercial track and this is what is expected .
Next comes "Lakh Lakh" by Neeraj Sridhar . This one is a very average and mediocre kinda track . Nothing new about it . We've heard such commercial tracks in the past and such tracks will keep coming . The music is also pretty basic and Anu would have composed this effortlessly . The lyrics are also so so by Anvita Dutt Guptan who shot into fame after her work in Bachna Ae Hasino . The lyrics here are very commercial and make very less sense .
Then we have a track called "Bebo" by Alisha Chinoy . Anu always asks Alisha to sing a song in his album and this is probably why Alisha wouldn't have said no to this track . Again , this one is also pretty much mediocre and reminded me of the early Alisha tracks that she sung in the beginning of her career , the music was also from that era . This track would have worked 15 years back from now but it won't work at all today . Kareena would love this track as she loves herself probably more than anyone else and after this she wouldn't mind working again in Nadiadwala's next film too , even if this one doesn't work .
Then comes a second title track , this time by Anu Malik . One more disappointment . This one by KK and Sunidhi has even crappier lyrics than the previous one . "Sunidhi , I plead to you , Please stop singing songs like this !! Please , you wouldn't want people to remember you for songs like these ." And what happened to KK , when did he started singing such songs . Bad track and Anu needs to seriously think of retiring . This track might work by the way as there is an audience for such tracks too .
Then comes a decent track "Kyun" by Shreya and Shaan . This track is a little better than the previous tracks and when I heard this one , it reminded me of the Title track of Yaadein (Hrithik-Kareena Disaster) . If you don't remember , Yaadein's title track had a "Sargam" part in it which roughly forms the base of this track in some parts . Yaadein's music was also composed by Anu Malik so I cannot accuse him of stealing . Though inspired from here and there still it is a decent track and the lyrics are good . So in all it is a little different from the other commercial tracks on the album and provides a welcoming change .
Then come a series of remixes of the songs that we've heard till now starting from reprise edition of RDB's version of title track . Only a bit faster and extra bass beasts in it , nothing more . Then comes a "Electro Dhol Mix" of Lakh Lah which doesn't make it any better . Then comes a "club mix" of Bebo with some girl moaning in the background to make it sound sensual . Nothing more to it . Then comes a remix version of Anu's version of Title Track , this one remixed by K&G , a little different from the original version , not that good but better than other remixes .
Shreya sings a complete female version of "Kyun" next which again provides a necessary change after the series of needless remixes . This one is no different than the previous one and just Shaan is absent from this one .
At last comes "Welcome to Hollywood" composed by Salim-Sulaiman . By putting some tiny-winy guest appearances of Sylvester,Denise Richards and Brandon Routh , Sajid claims that this film will bridge gaps between Hollywood and Bollywood . He he what a joke !! As if he has casted Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise in a lead role for a Hindi film . Well anyways , this music by Salim-Sulaiman is certainly not their best and they have done better . The English lyrics in this one by Sabbir Khan are just there for the sake of adding a western touch . Anushka sings well and she strangely is absent from good songs even after giving a hit title track in the original Golmaal .
Overall , this album can be avoided and it has very less to offer if you are looking for some good music . If you like commercial music then buy it at your own risk . Anu Malik once again disappoints and I think he needs to forget that he is a big music director and needs to work like a new guy . Waise I am too small a guy in stature to give him any advice .
Album Rating : Two out of Five ; mediocre music with very few decent tracks .

Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam --- Music Review
The third film of Sanjay Chhel as a Director , Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam is all set for release and the music of the film is out now . The Music of the film is by Anu Malik who is kinda a second choice these days since Pritam has taken his place of Lifting tunes and making popular music out of it . The last film by Anu Malik was Love Story 2050 whose music wasn't blockbuster but still wasn't that bad either . One thing that I have noticed that Anu Malik has given his best in the movies where SRK was in lead . Otherwise his albums were average package of some hits and some flops .
This time he has been opted by Sanjay Chel for his movie who himself has been a writer on several good projects but his last two films as director didn't do well , Kya Dil Ne kaha (*ing Tushar & Esha) and Khubsurat(*ing Sanju and Urmila) . This film has the hit jodi of Rahul and Mallika who gave a hit film together (PKSE) . The lyrics of this album are also from the Director himself . Now lets talk about the soundtrack.
The album starts off with "Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya" which is on air these days . The song is a good blend of the original super hit song and some new lyrics and singing style . The song has been sung well by Anushka Manchanda , Ishq Bector and Mahalaxmi Iyer . The tune didn't impress me that much but still it is not that bad either . The song has some nice DJ Beats and would sound good on a good speaker system . The lyrics aren't that impressive and it is expected in such a song .
The next track is the best track on album "Marmari Baahein" which is a nice Romantic and sensuous track by Kunal Ganjawala and Mahalaxmi Iyer . The tune again didn't impress me much and it is a typical one but the beautiful singing by Kunal and Mahalaxmi make it one track to hear again and again . The Lyrics of this song are also the best on the album . This song has a similar feeling as "Tere Bin" of Bhagam-bhag had . Anu didn't work that hard on this track as he could have since the Lyricist and Singers did more than half of the Job themselves .
The next track on album is a ghazal by Pankaj Udhas - "Ek to sharab Kum" . Pankaj Udhas has returned after after a long time with this Ghazal . The Ghazal is good but it is not one of those popular Ghazals so it won't work in the people at large . The Hardcore Ghazal lovers might love it but not general public . The tune is a typical Ghazal tune and nothing new about it with a little bit bass in it .
The next track "Ishqaiyaan" is by Sunidhi . The song can be called a "Modern Mujra" song . The song hasn't come out that well as it could have . The lyrics aren't that strong , neither is the tune . Of late Sunidhi is not getting good songs and she has been type casted even though she has sung beautiful songs like "Bhaage Re Mann" in Chameli .
Then comes a remix version of Marmari Baahein which has Anu Malik holding the mic . If its a anu malik album then one song has to have him . At least he has featured in a remixed version . The song is sort of a Lounge Mix more than a remix and sounds good .
After this comes a second part of to Ghazal "Ek to Sharab Kum" , frankly speaking , which I didn't listen to so can't say anything about it . Didn't like the first part , why would I listen to the second part .
Then there is a remix of Ishqaiyaan which is good but since the original is not that great , I didn't like this one either .
Overall , the album has only one song that's good i.e. Marmari Baahein . Both Anu Malik and Sanjay Chhel , the lyricist , have disappointed me . They didn't put their best efforts in .
Album Rating : Two out of Five Stars ; not recommended only one song is good .

Love Story 2050 --- Music Review
The most expensive sci-fi flick of India , Love Story 2050 , is all set to release next month but the music is out now . The music is also quite techno friendly , I mean ,it has a lot of use technology i.e. computer generated sounds and variations that usually a DJ uses in his/her remixes . The Film is sort of comeback for lot of people after long time . The list includes Priyanka Chopra , Anu Malik and the Director Harry Baweja , all of whom last worked a long time ago .
Talking of the album , the First song on Soundtrack is "Milo Na Milo" which starts by a little dialogue between Priyanka and Harman . There is a lot of talk that Harman is a near copy of Hrithik Roshan in terms of Looks , Dance and Style . And I would like to add that he even talks like Hrithik and it felt to me that he is faking it , he really doesn't talk like that . His voice is also little childish like that of Jugal Hansraj and everybody knows what happened to him . Well , talking of the song , it is no doubt the best and the most balanced track of the album . I always use the word "balanced" because a nice balance of melody and lyrics only makes a track hit . And this track would no doubt be the most popular track on the album . Anu does a fabulous job in this track making it quite sci-fi in sound also . Apart from music director people forget the job of Arranger and Tubby-Pari here have done a great job . The lyrics are also good as usual from Javed Akhtar and the the song is well sung by Shaan .
The Next track on the album is Meelon Ka which is a very melodious track and is slower from the first one . Anu Malik has got a good melody for this one and it is much like the track from Jaan-e-mann - Humko Maalum Hai . Anu has once again made use of the western symphonies to make a good track and you can distinctly see similarities between this track and humko maalum hai . Though Humko Maalum Hai was a big hit , this one might not get that popular but might look good in the movie . It also has shades of Ajnabi Shahar from Jaan-e-mann which again was a brilliant track . This one is sung by Kay Kay and interestingly sonu is missing from the entire album . Though Kay Kay is a fabulous singer and has done great job on this one but still he is not as good as Sonu . Probably , Sonu might have sung this one even better . Alka Yagnik has also done a good job and the Lyrics are also good but not exceptional .
The third track on the Album is the Title Track "Love Story" and it also has little dialogues in the starting by Harman and Priyanka and Harman again sounded like a kid . The melody on this track sounds like it has been lifted from some other song from past , it doesn't sound new . This song is not as good as a title track should be and won't get that popular but it is also not that bad and would suit in a romantic situation in the movie . Lyrics are fine and it has been well sung by Shaan .
The fourth track again starts with the childish sound of Harman Baweja . "Sach Kehna" is sung by Kunal Ganjawala who had last given a great track with Anu which made him an instant hit - Bheege Honth in Murder . This one is total opposite of that track and has nothing for Kunal in it . Typical commercial track with some latin tunes in it and nothing new about it , just a little more bass .
The Fifth track , thank god , doesn't start with a childish voice and has only priyanka in it . "Lover Boy" is sung by Alisha Chinoy and its tune is again picked up from somewhere and it has vintage Alisha in it . This one sounds like some track of Alisha's album of the early Ninety's that never got released . It also has a tune pretty much similar to Mortal Combat tune just a little bit slower . The track is below average since Alisha has sung some great songs recently like Kajrare and Dil Ko Hazaar Baar (Murder) . Typical Anu Malik track with no lyrics and no melody .
The Child is back again in the Sixth track , I mean Harman who again talks like a small kid in the beginning . "Mausam Achanak" is a softer track and has good lyrics in it . The music is also average and nothing exceptional . But the track sounds good and has some good singing by Shaan and Alka . Alka Yagnik's all songs sound similar . I am sure the video of this song would feature some beautiful cinematography and VFX in it . So , the song would look even beautiful if it will have some good cinematography and visual effects (VFX) in it .
The last original track on the album is Aa Gaya Hun Mein by Kay Kay which again has vintage Anu Malik in it and same old tune with just some extra bass beats to give it a disco feel . The lyrics are nothing to take notice of and Kay Kay has done usual stuff .
This one also has nothing new and Anu fell short in this one also .
Then there are two slower versions of Love Story and Meelon Ka which are as good as the original ones . These are the two tracks(original ones) that are pic of the lot and the Third being Milo Na Milo .
Top 3 Tracks :
- Milo Na Milo .
- Meelon Ka .
- Love Story .
Album Rating : Three out of Five , for its good commercial value .
