Rani Mukerji's come back film Dil Bole Hadippa is all set to release and the music of the film is out now . The title track is already on-air and strangely even its remix version has also been released on television which is usually kept for publicity at the last stages . Since Shahid-Priyanka are the flavour of the season, I guess the producers of both Whats Your Rashee and Dil Bole Hadippa are cashing in on the hype generated by Kaminey and hence released there promos much before the scheduled time . Rani would be a bit disappointed since she was suppose to be the USP of the film not Shahid . And maybe this could also be the reason why the remix video has been released in a haste , just to show the new avatar of Rani Mukerji . Anyways, this is a music review and I should talk about the music . Well , its got Pritam (once again) and Jaideep Sahni as the Lyricist . Pritam has had a decent year with New York and Love Aaj Kal doing well on the music charts so same is expected from this album .
This one is a completely different soundtrack in the sense that it is a complete Punjabi soundtrack with very less scope for Hindi . This is probably the first time something like this has been attempted in a commercial Hindi film soundtrack . First comes the title track on the soundtrack , Hadippa , which is a nice Punjabi track with a decent bit of lyrics . The song is already on air in the promos of the film and is getting quite popular . Love Aaj Kal lacked a kick-ass Punjabi song and also Mika . That deficiency has been removed by Pritam here with this track . Pritam and Jaideep have together done a good job on this track and have given the soundtrack a good start with this song . It is the best track on the entire album .
Next comes , Discowale Khisko , which disappoints right away and spoils the mood set up by the first track . This one is so below average in terms of both music and lyrics . The lyrics are awful and so commercial that they remind of the songs from Tashan . In terms of Music Pritam has almost done nothing because the music is so like any typical Punjabi track . This shitty track has vocals by some good singers like KK and Sunidhi .
"Ishq hi Rab Hai" comes next which is the only soft romantic track in the album . Sonu and Shreya Ghoshal together have together sung some of the finest tracks and have never done an average track like this one . So it was a bit surprising to see them on such an average track . The lyrics are also so so and even the music is like that . A still better track as compared to other tracks on the album .
Then come "Bhangra Bistar" and at last there is "Gym Shim" both of which are pretty below ordinary kinda tracks and have nothing to offer . Both lyrics and music is so below average on both these tracks . Bhangra Bistar has some typical Sunidhi , a bit of Alisha Chinoy and also Hard Kaur with some bad lyrics and average music . "Gym Shim" was short of lyrics so they put in some 1234 .... up to 19 like a bad nursery rhyme .
Then come two remix tracks of "Discowale Khisko" and "Hadippa" one of which is already on air .
The remix of Hadippa and the original track are the only two tracks that I've liked on the entire album and apart from them the entire soundtrack can be avoided . I don't know what would Yashraj now use for the publicity of the film which still has about a month to release . They've already shown the two good tracks from the album and this is probably what they will have to repeat for a month or so .
Overall , the album is below average and Pritam has failed on this one . Jaideep also should avoid writing songs like these which are pretty commercial and have no value . He has also done a below average job . When the first song of this film was released I thought that this film would make a good sum of money even only if its songs are as good as this one . But now after listening to the entire album I can say that a lot would depend on the film now since the music is not a blockbuster one .
Album Rating : Two out of Five ; an average commercial film soundtrack .

Love Aaj Kal --- Music Review
The team that gave super-hit music for "Jab We Met" is back again and this time they have a huge monkey on their back which would certainly result in comparisons . The music of "Love Aaj Kal" is out and I must say I was looking forward to this album with lot of anticipation . The film has an all new cast for director Imtiaz Ali who has never worked with them before and as a result expectations are running high . Pritam's recent work , New York , is already on the charts and has got positive feedback .The lyrics which are done by Irshad Kamil , last worked on Jab We Met where he did a great job . This album has a total of 10 tracks with 3 remixes and 7 originals.
The first one on the track is the one that is already on air , "Twist" , which is a nice peppy track to begin the album . It has vocals by Neeraj Sridhar who is good with English vocals as always and has his distinct style of singing . The song starts with the famous "Been" tune from the hit song "Tan Dole mera mann dole" of Nagin originally composed by Hemant Kumar . The old classic tune has been given a modern feel and it is probably the best thing in the entire song music-wise . The lyrics don't have much to offer and there's nothing so great or catchy about them . The only catchy phrase that is there is "And We Twist" which has been given by some guy Indie according to Album Credits so lyricist gets no point for this song . The only two positives of the song are the classic music and the phrase "And We Twist" . Interestingly the credits to both these positives have been given in real small fonts somewhere in the corner on the Album Credits . Overall , a nice track , will get popular for sure but I guess in the long run wont work .
Then comes "Chor Bazaari" by Neeraj Sridhar and Sunidhi . How ironic , Pritam gets to compose a song by the name of "Chor Bazaari" , he he , he would have had no problem composing this one . Well , the song has nice music , I hope the source is Pritam only . The lyrics here are much better than the first track and add to the song . This song would be of the league of "Ye Ishq Haaye" from Jab We Met and I guess in this one also Saif and Deeps would be roaming around in some beautiful locales . I am looking forward to see this song on-screen . Niraj and Sunidhi have sung it effortlessly and did a good job . Pritams Chor Bazaari is of the better tracks on the album .
Remember the cool music in First Trailer of the film . Well , that was from "Aahun Aahun" which comes next . This was the part that made me look forward to the music and as always the best part was in the trailer itself , nothing more to offer . I just loved the first 50 seconds from this track after which it takes a whole different path . And guess what , the first 50 seconds that I loved again have an outside source . Both the lyrics and melody of the this part are from a Traditional Punjabi Track -"Kadi Te Hass Bol Ve" . Good part though that this part has been sung by Master Salim who I think has done a great job . At first I thought it was Mika (considering Jab We Met) but to my surprise it was not him . Anyways Salim does a great job in that part . Apart from the first part , the song in my opinion has nothing much to offer , neither lyrically nor music wise . The guitar piece in the beginning and throughout is good . Music is all about Passion and Feelings and that is very much visible in that first part of this song which are no where else in the entire album . I just loved it .
Then comes "Dooriyan" by Mohit Chauhan . Mohit got a great song in "Jab We Met" but I guess history doesn't repeat itself so fast . This one is a good track but not a great one . This track would make much more sense after the film releases and when we watch it along with the story . The lyrics are also good . The song has a slow sad feel to it and Mohit adheres to it . He does a good job with vocals . Overall , its a nice slow track that would work with the film .
"Ajj Din Chadheya" comes next by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan which is a nice soulful track with a simple bit of music . The song has some nice lyrics with some inputs from Shiv Kumar Batalvi . The entire track has an element of simplicity to it yet it is certainly worth listening. The Punjabi lyrics have been very well sung by Rahat who as always does a great job . Irshad has done a great job with lyrics and his best on this album . In all , its a nice track that might grow on you with repeated listening and would grow even more once film releases .
Then comes a folk song like track "Thoda Thoda Pyaar" which is a bit different and has some traditional music in it . Though it has a folk song like feel but it is not something like "Genda Fool" which was a pure folk song yet done brilliantly . This one is meant only for film and would look good only in the film . Nothing so different about it and is just like usual traditional Punjabi track . The lyrics and singing both are good .
Finally comes "Mein Kya Hoon" by KK . He has sung this one in similar style that Shaan had sung "Aao Meelon Chale" in Jab We Met . I guess Pritam is responsible for that . Pritam though has failed to compose a good tune for this one . The music is pretty much average for this track and lyrics are also not that good either . The music of this track though would sound good on a good music system and bass lovers would love it . Overall , its an average track and doesn't provide a good end to the soundtrack .
Then there is a series of remixes of tracks "Twist" , "Chor Bazaari" and "Aahun Aahun" all done by DJ Sanj . These are just like any other remixes , faster and some beats in it for the discs n clubs . The remix of chor bazaari has some bad English lyrics that make no sense as such . Last comes a remix of Aahun Aahun in which the part that I loved has been cut short so that leaves pretty much nothing in it .
Overall , a nice album but falls short of expectations . This one would not be a blockbuster like Jab We Met and would go down as an average bollywood film soundtrack . The songs that are a bit good also don't impress that much . But still , it aint that bad and Pritam somehow manages a soundtrack that would at least not hurt the film and add to it in a certain way .
Album Rating : 3 out of 5 ; Good but only in parts .

New York --- Music Review
New York is the first big film to hit the screens after the long strike between the producers and multiplex owners and also Yashraj's first film for this year . Yashraj had a terrible last year with RNBDJ being the solo hit of the year and they would expect to start this year on a positive note . This film by Kabir Khan of Kabul Express fame is based on different subject matter and is not usual Yashraj entertainer . The film as we all know has the backdrop of 9/11 WTC attacks and the story revolves around that incident . The trailers of this film had hit the cinema halls long back along with Rab Ne.. but the release got delayed and now Yashraj have very less time to promote the film . The music of this one is by Pritam and expectations of a commercially hit album are always there from him . He last worked on Aa Dekhe Zara and the track "Gajab Huio Rama" is still on the charts .
Since the film is completely based in New York , the music of the film also has that complete western feel and there are very few Indian elements in it . The soundtrack has eight tracks in total with 6 originals and 2 remixes . The first song on the album is the track that features in the trailer , "Hai Junoon", by KK . The track begins with a guitar piece that reminded me a bit of the guitar theme from Sholay . When I heard it in the trailer my expectations with the music rose and I started expecting a good soundtrack . I must say that the best part of the track was in the trailer itself and apart from that it has very little to offer , at least in terms of music . The track though a simple one but yet in my opinion is the best on the entire soundtrack and comes upfront . It will definately get popular but at a a slower rate probably because it is not one of those instant hit types . The lyrics by Sandeep Shrivastav are nice and refreshing and capture the emotions of the characters very well . This song suits Katrina very much and this is definately her time . KK as usual does a good job singing the song and I loved the chorus also in the track . Overall , a nice light track to begin the album .
Next comes "Mere Sang" by Sunidhi Chauhan who I think sings very few good songs these days . She has far more talent and she is wasting it on so so commercial tracks . By the way this track is not one of those and is a good one . It also has a western feel to it and is of the league of songs from pritam's film METRO. This song also has a good use of guitars and drums and has the rock feel to it . The lyrics of this one are also good and have that urban feel to them . Overall , its a nice track and Sunidhi does well singing it .
Coming third is "Tune Jo Na Kaha" which reminded me of the track "Chal Chalen Apne Ghar" from Woh Lamhe . Pritam who is famous for composing inspired music this time got a little inspired from his own work from the past . Though not largely but in certain parts you can observe the similarity between this track and that one . Listen to both the tracks and if you think that I am right then please leave a comment , I want to know that is it me only who thinks this way or you also think so . Well , this track is also good one and the lyrics here add to the beauty of the song . Sandeep has done a great job once more and he can do even better . The vocals are by Mohit Chauhan on this one and he has done great job as usual . Overall, a nice slow number and has some nice piece of lyrics .
"Aye Saaye Mere" comes next which aims at sending out a message through itself . The central message of the film also probably lies in this song . This one has been composed and Sung by Pankaj Avasthi . He does a great job singing and his voice does have that sufiana quality of a saint and the music he composed for the song is also pretty simple and basic . This song would most probably feature in the background and would look good that way along with the film's storyline .
Next come the remix versions of "Hai Junoon" and "Mere Sang" which are just like every other remix and have those bass beats and DJ effects with a higher tempo . Nothing great about them and are good for discs etc. Amongst the two , I liked the "Mere Sang" one more . The tracks have been remixed by Julius Packam who has also composed the two themes musics that follow next .
In the end come two theme musics by Julius Packam , first one being "Sam's Theme" which is nice and has vocals by Caralisa Monteiro . The fact that Sam's character has a theme proves that it is the central character in the film . Caralisa does a great job with the vocals and apart from her vocals the music has little to offer in this theme . Nothing so new about the theme but might look good in the film . Sounds a little sad which leads me to believe that Sam probably dies in the film .
Finally comes the theme music of the film and this one is nice bit of music but not a great one . Julius had done a fabulous job in Kabul Express and I expected a little more from him . I hope he does a great job with the background score of the film just like he did in Kabul Express .
Overall , the album falls a little short of the expectations but still is worth listening and the songs are pretty simple . They match to the theme of the film and I am sure they would look and sound even better in the film . Lets hope that the film doesn't fall short of expectations and is at least as good as Kabul Express .
Album Rating : Three out of Five ; certainly worth listening .

Billu Barber -- Music Review
The long awaited film of Priyadarshan and SRK that starrs Irrfan Khan in the lead , Billu Barber , is finally ready for release and the music of the film is out now . The film has been produced by SRK's Red Chillies Productions and that means this project means more to SRK than anyone else . This film is again a remake of a south film which has been already made twice in Malayalam and Telugu . The Telugu version called Kuselan recently released having Rajnikant playing the part which SRK is playing . The film still failed at the box office and its failure raised some concerns for SRK and hence this film also got delayed . The original Malayalam version , Katha Parayumpol and the telegu version both have been written by Sreenivasan . Billu Barber was first supposed to release before RNBDJ but got delayed and now it is releasing in February . The film also stars Lara Dutta and several other Priyadarshan's usual like Om Puri and Rajpal Yadav etc.
Well ,Talking of soundtrack , it consists of Fifteen Tracks in total out of which Seven are original and eight being remixes . The remixes again outnumber the originals on the soundtrack but good thing is that some of those have been sung by different singers so sound a little different . This time it is Pritam who has done the job and lyrics are by various artists . The soundtrack is for its majority a commercial one and when it comes to commercial music there is no one better than Pritam for the job .
The first track on the soundtrack is , Marjaani , which is already on-air and generating the hype for the film . The song as you all now has Kareena in it along with SRK and has some usual fun and frolic . The lyrics on this one are by Gulzaar and are as expected good enough to make this song a hit . The lyrics and music together give it a popular feel and the song would work for sure among the listeners . Sukhwinder and Sunidhi do a good job as usual and Sukhwinder is one more reason why this song could get popular .
Next comes , Love mera Hit Hit , sung by Neeraj Shridhar and Tulsi Kumar . The lyrics on this one are by Ashish Pandit and Mayur Puri who do a good job and made the lyrics pretty catchy . Pritam also does a good job and gives it a commercial tune which makes the song even more catchy and makes it a potential hit . This one starrs Deepika Padukone and SRK , shaking legs together . Neeraj sings it in his usual style with Tulsi giving him good support .
The third and the final track which again has a guest appearance of Priyanka Chopra in it , You Get Me Rockin and Reelin , is a a little on the slower and sensual side . The song has Priyanka and SRK getting cosy and trying to set the screen on fire . If you don't know then let me tell you that all these three songs are a part of a film which is shown to be shot in Billu's village . Since these songs are shown a part of a film in the film itself the Director has made an effort to keep the songs as commercial as possible because SRK is shown as a commercial superstar in the film . Still , this song is pretty melodious and doesn't sound like usual commercial songs . Neeraj does a fine job singing this one and makes sure that it sounds different . The lyrics on this one are by Sayyed Quadri who does a good job .
After this comes a very very commercial track , Ae Aa O , which would look good in the film only and would make more sense in the film . The song would probably be featured when SRK first comes to the village and it would be somewhat of a introductory song . The lyrics on this one are by Neeraj Sridhar and it has been sung by KK ,Rana Mazumder & Suraj . The song in all is more film oriented and doesn't make much sense apart from it . KK surprisingly has been offered such an average track which anyone could have done .
The fifth track , Jaoon Kahan , is completely different from the previous four and is a sad song which has been written by Sayeed Quadri who does a great job on this one . The song features Irrfan Khan who as we all know is a brilliant actor so he might make you feel really sad through his acting . The lyrics are really good on this and reminds of "Jag Soona Soona Lage" from Om Shanti Om . Like that one this has been also sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who again does a great job . Pritam has also done a good job and given it a nice and simple tune . The song is a complete package of good lyrics , music and singing . Such songs gain popularity much more after the film releases and I am sure with the release of the film this one also would get much more popular .
Next comes a very different and Desi track , Billu Bhayankar . This one has some very interesting piece of lyrics written by Gulzaar Sir himself and he again proves his expertise in the "Thainth Desi" language after songs like Kajrare and Bidi Jalayle . This one though is not a item song like the previous two but that doesn't mean that it lacks any fun . This one is a fun track from the word go and would be real treat on screen , I am pretty sure about that . The track talks about Billu Hajam the central character . This track would definately remind you of Khaike Pan Banaras Waala which had a similar feel . Pritam has done full justice to the song and given it a very pure desi tune to it . The biggest role in such songs as you know is of the singer and his/her accent . And on that front Ajay Jhingaran , Raghuveer and Kalpana do a commendable job .
Next comes probably the most melodious and lyrically rich song , Khudaya Khair . This one has been written by Gulzaar Sir . This song and the third track on the album , You get me rocking , have somewhat same lyrics and I don't know which one is the original one . Still , this one is much more melodious and some extra lyrics in this one that are there add much more to its beauty . If that one had a little western feel to it , this one has none . Pritam has done his best on this as compared to the other songs on the album . The female parts that have been sung by Akriti and Monali sound really good . Soham does a good job singing the male parts but for me Neeraj would have suited much more . This is the song that was there in the first trailer of the film and I am sure this one would be featured on Lara Dutta (my favourite) who is looking really beautiful in the promos . I am happy that she got the best track on the album .
Then starts the series of Remixes and first one is the Video Edit of Rockin n Reelin . I didn't find this one any different from the original one in terms of music . This one though has Dominc Cezaro siniging some female parts . If you remember Dominic made her debut in Rock On with " Yeh Tumhari Meri Baatein ". She does her part well . Rest all is the same .
Then come remix versions of "Love Mera Hit Hit" and "Marjaani" which have been remixed by DJ Amyth and Kilogram K&G respectively . Both the remix versions have usual fast pace tempo and some extra english lyrics . Nothing great about them as such and good for clubs and discs . The remix version of Mar Jaani has been sung by KK and Akriti Kakkar so KK fans won't get disappointed .
Next comes a reprise edition of "Khudaya Khair" which has Abhijeet giving vocals and rest all is the same . The song doesn't suit him that much as much it did to Neeraj and Soham . This one being a reprise edition is a little slow . If this was not enough there is one more remix of "You Get Me rockin n reeling" which again is a basic remix with higher tempo and usual DJing .
Then there is a remix of Ae Aa O , I don't know why . The original track itself was a little weak so this one doesn't make any difference . One more Marjaani by DJ Sunil and Spinz who remix the original track and do a good job . This is the pick among the remixes . Then there is a remix of Love Mera Hit Hit which is better than the previous remix of the same song .
In all , its a nice soundtrack with a mix of commercial tracks and good tracks like Khudaya and Jaoon Kahan . It also has very different tracks like Billu Bhayankar . The only thing that was a put off was the long list of unnecessary remixes that made me change my mind for rating the album . I was going to give it a four stars but the irritating remixes which are just too many made me change my rating . In all , the soundtrack has increased my curiosity for the film and I am now even more eagerly waiting for the film . The film in my opinion would be a nice film that would be liked by all .
Album Rating : Three and Half Stars out of Five ; Great soundtrack with a nice mix of different songs .

Golmaal Returns --- Music Review
The first thing that comes to my mind while listening to tracks from Golmaal Returns soundtrack is that it is an outright commercial album . The original Golmaal had songs that were written and composed by Vishal Shekhar and hence they were not only good on commercial scale but also had some nice lyrics and tunes to back'em up . This one though is composed by Pritam and has lyrics by the king of commercial lyrics , Sameer . Sameer if you don't know has written most of the songs of the 90's that had lyrics like " Teri Naani Mari to mein kya karoo " so don't expect anything in terms of lyrics . Then on musical terms we have the Great Thief himself , Pritam , so expect a tune that you would have definitely listened to , somewhere else.
Moving on , the first track on the album is "Tha Kar Ke" whose meaning I don't know . This one has been composed by Ashish Pandit and he grabs the popular tune of the Spanish song Gasolina by Daddy Yankee and mixes it with some strange lyrics by Sameer and creates a very commercial track . The lyrics are not that catchy and the tune and lyrics are bit of a mismatch . The track though is a commercial one yet it won't get popular as a "Kajrare" of BAB or "Beedi Jalayle" of Omkara did . The song is majorly sung by Neeraj Sridhar and some bits are by other singers . The singers do a decent job but it is the tune and lyrics that spoil the whole show . The song on a whole can be listened only once , the music though would sound better on a good music system . Still , I would any day prefer listening to Gasolina instead of this one .
The next track on the soundtrack is "Vacancy" which is also the title track and has a very groovy tune attached to it . Lyrics once again have nothing new and are quite commercial . In fact , it is the English Lyrics by Neeraj Sridhar that have done most of the job . He has also sung the song and as usual is good at whatever he does and such songs suit only him among male singers .He is also backed up by Suzie Q. in some parts where she also does a fine job. I can now identify her voice anywhere especially after recent hit "Jee Karda" in singh is kinng . The song on a whole is good but not as good as the title track of original golmaal was . Anushka Manchanda got instant fame with that one . That one in my opinion was much cooler and groovier than this one yet this one is also not that bad .
Next comes "Tu Saala" by Anushka Manchanda . This one is again a completely commercial track and has nothing much to offer . Anushka sings well but the the music and lyrics on this make it an average track . I can't write anything more about the track apart from the fact that it is a commercial track that would look bad even in the movie . Still , I don't how the video on this one looks and probably the video might pull it off a disaster . The good part though is that it is just 3.5 minutes long and also quite pacy so won't damage the pace of the film .
Next comes a song called "Meow" which is a little on the sensuous side so it would have a Hot video with one or all the leading ladies showing off their assets . This one again is a little different and not that commercial . Yet the lyrics and tune are not good enough to make it a popular song . The singing and lyrics by Suzie Q. are great and she does a very fine job . She can definitely sing English tracks with utmost perfection . She would have gone a long way if she would have been in West . Though she has sung many songs yet she has not got that perfect English track that could make her popular . This one has both Hindi and English lyrics and hence is a nice blend . Pritam does a good job but nothing extraordinary .
Then comes an English Version of Meow which is also almost same as the original one but has no Hindi lyrics in it . Suzie comes in full form in this one and gives a fabulous performance . In all , same as the original one with some extra English lyrics .
Then there are four remix tracks , the first one being the remix of Vacancy . The remix has been done K&G and they have not done much apart from just making it more pacy than the original one . The next remix is of Tha Kar ke which again is just a paced up version with some extra effects of the original one . This one has been remixed by DJ Amyth who has done quite a regular job and nothing new .Then there is a remix of Meow which has been done by DJ Nikhil and DJ Naved who have done a good job and given the song a different touch . This one is different from the original one and is also worth listening . The whole concept of remix is that it should sound completely different from the original and Nikhil and Naaved do a fine job in that respect .
The last remix is that of Tu saala which has been done by Bunty Rajput who does nothing but add some bass to the original one .
After these there are also some bonus tracks which are the original songs from the previous golmaal and are much better than these . That album was much original and had some very nice tunes and lyrics that made it a quite popular album . We can still see the songs from the original one being aired on Music channels whereas these won't even get one fourth of the airtime that those have got .
In all , the album is commercial one and has only two songs , Vacancy and Meow which are worth listening . The two that I have mentioned are also good comparatively and are just ordinary in general sense . The lyricist has not done much hard work and even the music director has done quite usual job .
Album Rating : Two out of Five Stars ; Commercial and quite a disappointment as compared to the soundtrack from the first golmaal .

Kidnap --- Music Review
After wining the showdown against Harman , Imran is all set to have a one on one with Abhishek on the coming Gandhi Jayanti . This time though the contest is little harder and Abhishek is having a fan-following which would definitely be more than Harman Baweja . The common thing though in both cases being that Imran's film is pitched against a high budget Fantasy film . Last time it was Love Story 2050 and this time being Drona . His small budget youth love story became the biggest hit of this year and made him star by night . Though this film would be a real test for him , his acting skills and his stardom . The Music of any film as I always say plays the biggest role in its publicity apart from its stars and in that front Kidnap is definitely scoring some goals over Drona . And as I suspected in my earlier post , Kidnap Vs. Drona , the music of Kidnap is definitely sounding a little better .
The soundtrack consists of seven songs out of which five are originals and two are remixes . The soundtrack of any film has to be according to the mood of the film and should show us the character of the story and film itself . This soundtrack definitely manages to do that . The Pacy Thriller nature of the film can be felt even in this soundtrack which makes it quite interesting . Pritam got his first taste of success in Sanjay Gadhvi's first film Dhoom and then on he has given back to back hits , most of them being lifted from here or there . Keeping the loyalties he has given music to this film also and the lyrics are by Mayur Puri .
The opening track of the OST , "Mit Jaaye" though is not the Title Track but can be called so because it very well sets the mood for the entire soundtrack upfront and even gives you a hint of the film . During the entire song you can imagine Sanjay Dutt chasing Imran to get his daughter . What I mean is that this song has the thriller element in it and is also very pacy . The song also expresses the feelings of the lead character of the film played by Imran . The video on this song is already on air and is creating some buzz . Interestingly the best track on the album is not by Pritam and Mayur , instead it has been written and composed by Sandeep and Sanjeev Vyas and has been very well sung by Sandeep Vyas . The two brothers have single handedly carried the entire song on their shoulders and have come out with flying colours . This song is definitely going to get Popular among the masses . A great job by the vyas brothers . Sandeep is a good singer and has long way to go . They are also great composers . I've become a fan of this track and my personal favourite on this soundtrack .
The next track on the album is a Hip Hop song called "Hey Ya!" by Suzie Q. who recently gave a hit song Jee Karda in Singh is Kinng . This track sounds like and introduction song for Minissha Lamba , the rich daughter . The song is decent and goes about well according to its nature . I just hope that story keeps moving while this song is being played during the movie . That way this song would look good in the film otherwise it might hinder the pace of the film . If properly placed this song would look good in the film with a hot video on Minissha . Suzie sings well and has done her job quite well . The song doesn't deviate from its character and remains Hip Hop through out .
The third song on the soundtrack is a slow song "Mausam" by Shreya Ghoshal . This song is a little different and Shreya has sung it quite well , as usual . It is not something extraordinary but still it has enough music and lyrics to keep it going . This song would be shot beautifully and the video would do the rest of the job . It is a typical track yet it can be heard once . The music is good and the singing is also accordingly . Overall , a different one as compared to other songs on the album yet quite ordinary in general sense .
Next comes a very commercial track called "Haan Ji" by Adnan Sami . Adnan is one of those singers that can even make a very ordinary song sound sound good . This song is a very unusual song and has some very unusual lyrics . The lyrics are more like a conversation and less of poetry .The music is good on this one but it is the singing style of Adnan that stands out . He is a talented singer but sings quite less no. of songs . Overall , the song is a very average commercial track that might work because of its singing . In my opinion this track might damage the film and hinder the pace of the story .
The last original track on the album is "Meri Ek Ada Shola" by Sunidhi Chauhan . This song has very old sounding lyrics and even Pritam has gone about it in a very old style . Pritam has also put in some Shakira like music in this song . This song suggests that when it would be played in the film the story would keep moving . The song has been sung in her typical style by Sunidhi and Sukhwinder has given her good company . Overall , this song is more of a commercial track and would mean more in the film .
Next comes the remix of Hey Ya which is been done by Imran and Vikram . Imran and Vikram do a fair job and they have put in usual remix beats . This one is almost like the original and is as good as the original . The last track on the album being the remix of Mit Jaaye which has been done by Hyacinth D'souza . This one is called the Rock Version and not a remix on the album cover . Whereas this can be called Rock Remix because I don't think they have re-recorded the song for this one . Hyacinth has done a fair job and just put in drums and guitar with the original one . This one might appeal to die hard rock music lovers but I still prefer the original one .
Overall , the album is fairly good and can be listened once . The songs won't look bad on screen and won't cause much damage to the film . Not all of them are potential hits but Mit Jaaye is a big time winner . In all , the album is neither too good nor too bad so you can give it a try .
Album Rating : Two and Half out of Five ; Average album with Mit Jaaye being the best .

Mukhbir --- Music Review
Well , this is what happens ..small films which have good music , comes and goes , unnoticed just because it doesn't have enough hype surrounding it and it doesn't even get good air time from the Radio stations whose primary job is to play good music . This thing recently happened with the Music of Aamir which in my opinion was amongst the best released this year . I regret not reviewing the music of that film so I am not gonna do the same for Mukhbir .
The soundtrack of Mukhbir consists of songs composed by four different Music Directors which itself makes it a quite diverse album . The film is Directed by Mani Shankar who gave us films like 16 December and Rudraksh , music of both being quite popular . Who can forget the soulful and melodious track "Dil Mera Ek Taara" from 16 december and the rocking yet a great track "Ishq Khudaai" from Rudraksh . So one thing is clear that Mani has good music sense and we can at least expect a good soundtrack . And our expectations are not denied , it is a very nice and fresh soundtrack . It has total 11 songs out of which 5 are original and 6 are from various albums released in the past .
The first song on the album is "Tu Salaamat" by KK and Pritam . This song has rock feel to it like the songs of Metro had . Again I don't care if Pritam steals all his tunes , until and unless the track has a great music and lyrics . I can now say for sure that KK can sing any song of the Rock genre . He is shining like a new born star these days and he deserves it . The song has both , nice rhythm and lyrics . In all , its a great track and Pritam delivers once again . If any of you guys find the tunes similar to any of the tracks from west Please leave a comment ..I wanna know it and listen it . This one is a male solo and completely belongs to KK .
The second track is "Jeena" which is composed by Sandeep Chowta and sung by Sonu Kakkar. She , yep "she" is a great singer . We already have one Sonu who is one of the all time great and now we have one more of the opposite sex , great or not we'll come to know in future soon . This song is completely different from the first one and the singing style reminds of the Shibani Kashyap's hit song "Sajna.. aa Bhi Ja" from Waisa Bhi Hota Hai --Part II . This song has a very nice tune and rhythm and is very Western in its feel . It could even suit any English lyrics and singer . Sandeep works very less but has given hits like "Sab Ganda Hai Par Dhanda Hai Ye" in Company etc.
Sonu has a bright future and a name that she has to live up to .
The third track is "Dhoonde Dil" which is composed by Sashi Pritam , who is he or she I don't know but he or she definitely has given a great track . One more track of the Rock genre with a tune which has little Mystic feel to it . This song could look even better if put in a nice place in the movie . You won't believe it first but this one has been sung by Hariharan in a never before style . I am not sure if it is that same Hariharan or some one else . I didn't knew he could sing Rock songs. The song has great Guitar Pieces in between and it also has some Couplets in between which make it even better . Whose voice it is in those Couplets is not clear , yet the sound is quite Baritone to make it sound great . Overall , Rock music lovers would love this one and it is again a very nice track .
The next track "Tere Bina" is composed by Kartik Raja and this one reminds of "Dil Mera Ek Taara" from 16 December . The song is very melodious and of the same genre as the song from 16 December was .Kartik had composed that song also quite beautifully and even this one is of same level . The track is sung by Sadhna Sargam who strangely has sung very less songs in spite of such a sweet and soulful voice . She again creates that same old magic of hers and this one would really look romantic on screen if the chemistry works amongst the leads . The song from 16 December was shot beautifully with Milind Soman and Aditi Govitrikar with very nice on screen chemistry adding to its beauty .
The last track is again by Kartik Raja and has a south Indian touch to it . The lyrics have nothing new to offer in this one but overall the song is just OK . Probably not as good as others but still OK .
After this there are Six Hit Songs from past like In Dino , Alvida and O Meri Jaan from Metro and Yeh Tanhai from KK's album and Dhaani from strings .Out of which , Oh Meri Jaan is my personal favourite . Sony has put in some good old tracks to make the soundtrack even better . If you didn't buy the soundtrack of Metro then at least buy this one , you will get Mukhbir with great songs from Metro free .
Overall , the album is a must buy and the producers who are willing to pay back the Ticket Money if you don't like the film (really) have made good efforts on the album and the album certainly is worth a buy . Its very much better than the tracks from Yash Raj movies recently , yet Tashan is the second largest selling album after Race (I don't know why , and simply can't understand why ). Go out , buy the album , listen to it and support and appreciate the producers . If you are going to download it then at least leave a comment of appreciation here , they might read it and like it .
Album Rating : Three and a Half Stars out of Five , Go get it .

Kismat Konnection --- Music Review
The much awaited music of the romantic flick of the season "Kismat Konnection" is out now and the music is no doubt going to sell like hot cakes in the coming weeks . The music of the film has been released quite late considering the release is on the 18th of July . Though this strategy or delay might prove fruitful to the Producers as the music is big part of any film's publicity and if it would be freshly on the minds of people the film is bound to do well . The soundtrack has Six originals and five remixes in total . The music is given by Pritam and he is on a roller-coaster these days . After giving chart busting music of Race which is still running high on charts he is back with Kismat Konnection .
The Track opens with the title track which is on air these days in the Trailer . The song is strangely titled "Aai Paapi" whose meaning I don't know . The album starts with the most commercially capable song . This song is no doubt going to be a big hit and has a great new feel to it . The song is well sung by Neeraj Shridhar who gets almost all the popular tracks these days . He has a specialty in Hindi-English fusion songs and these type of songs are in every album today . He delivers his goods along with Pritam who has given great music to this one . The lyrics are by Shabbir Ahmed who has probably given lyrics to all the songs with "commercial value" on this album . The English lyrics with Jamaican accent are really sung well and I don't know why the guy who sings those is not given space in the credits when they are such an important part of a song.
The second track on the album is "Bakhuda tumhi Ho" which is by Atif Aslam and Alka Yagnik . After "Pehli Nazar Mein" in Race Atif is back again in this track in the same old style in exquisite way . This song is very much different from the prior one and has Urdu lyrics in it which makes it even more close to Atif and is a perfect song for him . Atif is no doubt making his presence felt . The song has a very nice theme just like "Tumse Hi-Jab We Met" had and this one also has very good lyrics , probably the best in the entire album. Sayeed Quadri has done a great job on the Lyrics . There is a very beautiful use of Chorus in this song and Atif sings it in his typical high pitch voice with inputs in between by Alka Yagnik's sweet voice which makes this song even more Romantic and no doubt the song is gonna look very romantic in the film . I hope it is used at a good situation . The songs mainly focuses on the feelings of the Male protagonist in the film so it has very less for the girl in it hence this one mostly belongs to Atif .
The next song on the Album is Move Your Body by Shaan , Suheil , Hard Kaur and Akriti Kakkar . This is typical party track with hip hop "rhythm and poetry" ( i.e. RAP ) by Hard Kaur . This is one of those songs that grows slowly on repeated listening . Main singers are Shaan and Akriti . The song has all the commercial elements in it and now one more "Move Your Body" for Hard Kaur after her smash hit with same name in Johnny Gaddar . Hard Kaur is no doubt getting popular day by day and she now can be seen more often in albums . After long time a female singer has come who just enjoys music full on , like a tequila shot . Last one probably was Usha Uthup and Hard Kaur reminds me of her a lot .She is a sweet girl and I just love her and interestingly she is happy with whatever small part she gets to sing in a song . But that little part is quite strong . The lyrics of this one are by Shabbir Ahmed and he does a decent job with blending both Hindi and English lyrics properly . In all, the song would look great in the film combined with the even great moves of Shahid , people are surely gonna move their body .
The next track is by "Tumse Hi hai" fame Mohit Chauhan and is titled "Is this Love" while the prior became a huge hit this one has a similar feel yet it won't be as big hit as the first one was . Tumse Hi was a solo track while this has Shreya Ghoshal in it . Shreya sings perfect as usual and I am once again sure that this song would work even more after the movie gets released and people see it . The magic of Tumse Hi is missing yet this one is a great track and would definately strike a chord with the listeners . The use of Guitar is still there as it was in Tumse Hi and is more or less has been attempted in a similar fashion . The difference lies in the fact that this one is a duet . This one is no doubt "Tumse Hi Hai Part II" . The lyrics are again great in this one by Sayeed Quadri and he for sure has abundance of talent . Mohit Chauhan also gives his best and he sings it in his original style . He has an unheard voice and it will work for him in long run coupled with his singing talent . This song is another Hit .
The next song is composed by guest composer Saajid-Waajid of "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi" fame and is titled "Soniye Ve (Dhak Dhak)" and like "Is This love" is Tumse Hi Part II this one is part II of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi hit song "Aaja Soniye" with even the vocals by the same singers Sonu and Sunidhi . The song has almost same feeling and lyrics like Aaja Soniye had and again the magic of original was missing in this one . As the sequel of Sarkar lacked the soul of original , in a similar fashion the sequel of "aaja soniye" lacks the soul of the original . The lyrics are again by Shabbir Ahmed and even these lyrics have all the commercial elements in it . The music by Saajid-Waajid is almost the same and very little effort by them . Same applies to Sonu and Sunidhi , they've sung it just like the original . The track is good but below par than other songs on the album . This would work a little less than the others . Same old use of Punjabi Dhol and Tune .
After this comes another version of Move Your Body which is exact replica of the original one , just one singer has been changed . In this instead of Shaan its Adeel who sings his part . Adeel almost sings in similar fashion as Shaan and I don't know why the composer did this track considering its almost the same .
Then starts a series of Remixes all done by DJ Suketo . First one is the Remix of Bakhuda and it has been remixed well by him and has all the bass beats that are their in a remix . The next is the remix of Title track and is quite fast version of the original and this one would work well in the Discos . Then comes the remix of Move Your Body which is a little different from the original one in the sense that it has a little more of Hard Kaur in this one. This is a remix of the Shaan's Version . Then comes a remix of "Is This Love" which is more of a Lounge Mix since its a romantic and slow track . This one is also good . The last remix is again a faster version of Soniye Ve and has nothing new about it . All the Remixes have been done in typical fashion , nothing new in that department .
In all , the track is well prepared one and is worth a buy. This one is no doubt gonna climb the charts soon . The album has a nice blend of Romantic and Club songs which was the case even with the album of Jab We Met .The lyrical content is also good especially in case of Bakhuda Tumhi Ho and "Is this Love" . This one would also work like Jab We Met did . Pritam has done his job well and though nothing unusually new , yet its good stuff from him .
Album Rating : Three and Half Stars out of Five ; Gr8 music and even lyrics are gr8 in a few .
Top 3 Songs :
- Bakhuda Tumhi HO.
- Is This Love.
- Aayi Paapi (Title Track)

Jab We Met -- Movie Review
The longtime real life couple Shahid-Kareena's last reel life appearance was a good farewell to them . Jab We Met is a good romantic comedy with a fabulous performance by Kareena and Shahid also did his part quite well . For the first time there Chemistry on screen was looking good .
The movie starts with shahid being dumped by his girlfriend who gets married to some other guy . Shahid gets miserable and goes away from his own life and then accidently meets very bubbly and lively Punjabi Girl , Geet , who makes him forget the past and live life the way she does. She is a blabber-mouth and even talks when she is sleeping . On the contrary Shahid is as very serious guy who is the son of very famous businessmen and is quite confused about his life . Geet ( Kareena ) doesn't hide anything from him & tells him about herself and how she wants to run away with the love of her life , a guy from Simla .
Kareena meets Shahid on a train and misses her train because of him . He takes her to her home back to Bhatinda and in the journey Shahid falls in love with her and also gets a new perspective of life . Kareena is a briliant actress with acting running in her blood veins. She looks very cute and surprisingly very much in shape .
In the second half the story turns the other way as the guy , whom Kareena loves , dumps her and she lives Nine months in misery in Simla away from her home , from where she runs away for him . Then Shahid comes to know about this and he teaches Kareena the same things what she tought him earlier about life . And after this strangely her lover comes back and apologises . She accepts her apology and takes him back to Bhatinda to marry him and Shahid supports them . What happens afterwards is left for you guys to watch .
I am big time fan of "Socha Na Tha" and I think it is one of the best Sweet-Romantic comedy film and " Jab We Met " has also been made with same spirit , yet it is not as good as the first one was . Director Imtiaz Ali has something for " Running away " from home as he uses the same situation in the second movie also . But he knows his job quite well and he has directed this one nicely . The Pace of the movie is good with some songs in between which were quite a disappointment . The second half is not as good as the first one yet it is bearable .
Pritam , stop stealing American Tunes and do something original . Only two songs were worth it and the rest were quite boring . Maybe Imtiaz should have stuck with Sandesh Shandilya who did a good job in "Socha Na Tha" .
Kareena is the best thing in the movie and Shahid was also good . Shahid should now get over his chocolate boy image and start doing roles with some serious nature . Like this movie , he should do the roles which are little serious because it suits him . He is a good actor but he needs to work a little more hard to change his image . Maybe he should take some Acting Lessons from his Dad who could polish him very well .
Overall the film is quite good and worth a watch . All the couples would enjoy it therefore I didn't enjoy it as much , as I am still single . Well I also want to say " Jab We Met " , is any body listening ?
Movie Rating : Two and Half Stars for Kareena's Good performance and
direction .
